Boys Cross Country Wins Division At New Haven Invite

Oak Hill won the team championship of Saturday’s New Haven Invitational Class AA boys’ cross country meet, while Eastbrook’s Connor White and Marion’s Jalen Springer ran to top five individual finishes.
The Eagles edged out Angola 123-128 for the boys’ title in the meet held at Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne, site of the IHSAA semistate meet. White finished third overall in 16:26.35 and Springer was fifth 16:43.95.
Mississinewa was 17th and top runner Brennan Butche did not compete in the race.
Oak Hill was led by Tahj Johnson was 11th in 17:08.13, J.C. Herring was 21st 17:28.71 and Silas Vermilya was 24th in 17:29.68.
