Boys XC Wins Blackford Invite, Girls Second

The Oak Hill boys’ cross country team beat Eastbrook by a tiebreaker to win the Blackford Invitational on Saturday.
The Eagles and Panthers both scored 92 points. Oak Hill’s sixth runner finished in 65th place, while Eastbrook’s sixth runner finished in 80th place.
Oak Hill’s Chandler Julius won the boys’ race in 16:56. Silas Vermilya was fifth in 17:28. Beau Clouser was 17th in 17:55. JC Herring was 33rd in 18:20. Colin Harts was 36th in 18:30.
Connor White was sixth for Eastbrook in 17:28. Michael Neideck was seventh in 17:31. Channing Cook was 23rd in 18:05. Brett Holder was 25th in 18:11. Ethan Keller was 31st in 18:14.
Oak Hill was second in the girls’ meet with 41 points. Huntington North won with 36 points. Eastbrook was eighth with 207 points.
Oak Hill’s Margo Hornocker was third in 20:07. Brooke Hasty was fifth in 20:20 and Jenessa Hasty was sixth in 20:26. Savannah Hart was 13th in 21:10. Camille Taylor was 21st in 21:31.
Eastbrook’s Hannah Seward was 22nd in 22:10.
