Cross Country Team Competes In New Prairie Invite

Lenhart leads local runners

Oak Hill’s Shallen Lenhart finished 10th overall in the Class 2A race Saturday for the top local performance at the New Prairie Invitational, one of Indiana’s biggest meets.

Lenhart ran the 5K course in 19 minutes, 31 seconds, and the Golden Eagles’ Brooke Hasty finished in 35th place in 21:05. Other Oak Hill finishers were India Ulshafer in 59th (21:44.5), Elissa Austin in 97th (22:48.5), Krista Hobbs in 111th (23:32.2), Lorraine Gamble in 112th (23:34.8) and Abby Scott in 126th (24:06.6).

Newhouse has top finish

Bradey Newhouse had a top 25 finish Saturday in the New Prairie Invitational Class 2A race and led Oak Hill runners.

Newhouse finished in 17:19.1 for 22nd place, and the next Eagles runner was Riley Jones in 52nd in 18:01.1. Rounding out the Eagles’ scoring was David Horner in 60th place (18:07.9), Curtis Rangel in 100th (18:53.7), Peyton Byrd in 119th (19:24.1) and Nate Saylors in 149th (20:20.9).
