Oak Hill led with five all-Central Indiana Conference first team baseball selections released Monday and five other Grant County players made the team.
Senior Christian Livingston made the all-CIC first team for the third time and junior Bradon Nelson was named for the second straight year. The other Golden Eagles were seniors Tyler Fairchild and Caleb Maggard and junior Brody Hardcastle. Mississinewa had three selections and all are juniors: Nolan Young, Garrison Smith and Brandon Baker. Young made first team for the third time.
Eastbrook lone selection was Andrew Lawvere and the junior made the first team for the second straight time. Senior Levi Bott was the only Madison-Grant player honored.
The Argylls had seniors Jacob Price and Isaac Beaty receive honorable mention while Eastbrook had Justen Reece, Mississinewa had Gage Gallion and Oak Hill had senior Ryne Emery on the list. Oak Hill tied Frankton for first place at 6-1 and Mississinewa tied with Alexandria at 4-3. Madison-Grant was in sixth at 2-5, and Eastbrook tied for seventh at 1-6. The all-North Central Conference team also has been released and freshman Tyras Brown was Marion’s lone representative. Giants sophomore Tra Cox received honorable mention. Fairchild earlier was named all-District I and Chronicle-Tribune county player of the year after a senior season where he posted a 9-0 record with a 0.00 earned-run average over 60 innings. In 20 innings against conference teams, he struck out 36 batters and walked three. Livingston and Nelson also made the C-T all-county team. As a pitcher, Livingston was 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA in the CIC, while Nelson batted .409 with 10 RBIs.
Lawvere, Bott and the three Mississinewa players each made all-county in addition to all-CIC.
