Boys Basketball Uses Big Second Half To Fly By Squires

Leading 31-22 at halftime, the visiting Golden Eagles outscored the Squires 49-21 in the second half and rolled to their second victory Saturday evening.

Seth Sallee led the Eagles with 19 points and led four teammates in double figures. The senior guard also finished with three rebounds, three assists and four steals. Ryan Spaulding was next with 17 points, four assists and six steals.

Jace Martin added 11 points and Derek Durkes had 10 points. The Eagles shot 33 of 51 from the field for 64.7 percent and had a 29-16 rebound advantage.

Oak Hill won the junior varsity game 41-26 behind Landon Simon’s 17 points.

The Eagles play Saturday at Taylor.
