Boys Open Season With Win Over Tigers; Girls Fall

Freshman Emma Bledsoe won a pair of indvidual races and was part of two winning relay teams for the Golden Eagles on Tuesday.
Bledsoe caputred the 200 individual medley (2:24.88) and 100 breastroke (1:12.32). She also teammed with Jessie Hobbs, Judy Wood and Mallory Cheek to win the 200 medley relay (2:08.49) and with Taylor King, Grace Marsh and Ashtin McDivitt to capture the 200 free relay (1:48.57).
Ashtin McDivitt (200 free, 500 free) and King (50 free, 100 butterfly) each recorded a pair of second place swims while Lexi Ozmun (diving) and Cheek (100 free) also had second place finishes. Oak Hill also finished second in the 400 free relay (King, Kaylie Gunion, Tiernan McDivitt, Ashtin McDivitt).
The Eagles competed without divers Haileigh Elliott and Reign Miller, who were both out due to sickness.
Oak Hill travels to Maconaquah on Monday.

Oak Hill 105, Northwestern 81
The Golden Eagles started their season with a win on Tuesday in their home pool.
Junior Dalton Scheffer led Oak Hill with wins in the 200 free (1:58.41) and 500 free (5:21.81) races. Braden Wagner, diving (192.15) and Wyatt Drollinger, 100 butterfly (1:02.67) also recorded individual wins for the Eagles.
Oak Hill captured three relays: 200 medley (Hayden Maynard, Landon White, Landon Ashely, Macallister Cheek) 1:55.53; 200 free (Samuel Boyer, Jeymin Smith, Drollinger, Scheffer); and 400 free (Boyer, Cheek, Drollinger, Scheffer) 3:41.75.
Wyatt Drollinger (200 IM), Boyer (50 free, 100 free), Ashley (100 back) and White (100 breast) all swam to second-place finishes.
Oak Hill competes at Maconaquah on Monday.
