Collin Brown Signs To Swim At Olivet Nazarene

Collin Brown signs to swim at Olivet Nazarene.

Oak Hill Golden Eagle senior graduate, Collin Brown, signed a letter of intent to continue his swimming career at Olivet Nazarene University.  ONU is in the process of building a state-of-the-art aquatics facility to be opened in 2012.  Coach Scott Teeters was a Division II All-American swimmer and a former NCAA Division I head coach at Oakland University and Eastern Michigan University. Coach Teeter’s past swimmers went on to claim NCAA national titles in all three divisions, and one – Peter Vanderkaay – is a three time Olympic medalist.  Collin Brown has been an important part of coach Mark Yordy’s Oak Hill swim team over the last 4 years as well as active in the Oak Hill Swim Club for 10 years.  Brown set 3 Oak Hill High School records in the 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and one on a 200 freestyle relay team.  Brown graduated from Oak Hill with an Academic Honors diploma and several academic and athletic scholarships.  Collin intends to study Biology at ONU and has been accepted into the Olivet Honors Program.  Collin hopes to pursue medical school.  Olivet Nazarene University is located in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
