Oak Hill senior basketball player Jace Martin provided a big offensive performance in the Eagles’ win at North Miami on Saturday.

For those efforts, Martin has been named this week’s Chronicle-Tribune Athletes of the Week.

Martin had his third-highest scoring output of the season on Saturday. He provided a game-high 19 points as the Eagles defeated North Miami 67-32. Martin provided a 5-for-8 performance from the field, including going 3-for-6 from 3-point range.

Martin also had three rebounds, one assist and one steal in the victory.

Martin’s only higher scoring games came by scoring 23 points in Oak Hill 64-54 win at Southwood on Jan. 8 and scoring 22 points in the Eagles’ 66-62 win over Eastbrook in the opening round of the Grant Four Tournament.

Martin has reached double figures in five of Oak Hill’s last six games.

Martin is second on the Eagles with his average of 11.9 points per game. He is second on the team with 89 rebounds and also is second on the team with 33 steals.

Oak Hill hosts Elwood on Friday.
