Lake Finishes Runner-Up At Sectional, Swimmers Have Good Swims

After the morning dive prelims Caiden Lake was sitting in 4th place at the Fisher’s Sectional. Lake came back in the afternoon hitting his 5 last dives to finish runner-up and advance to this Tuesday’s Regional competition. Lake who finished with 427 points will have to finish in the top 8 to advance to Saturday’s IHSAA state finals. Braden Wagner finished fifth and just missed qualifying for the regionals.
In swimming Dalton Scheffer set a school record in the 200 free swimming to a seventh place finish in 1:50.38. He also finished seventh in the 500 free in 5:04.74.
Arik Gamble finished eighth in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:04.01 and won the consolation 200 individual medley finishing ninth overall. Sammy Sommers (100 free) and Blake LaFavour (100 breaststroke) both finished 10th in their events.
The 400 free relay team of Samuel Boyer, Sammy Sommers, Dalton Scheffer, and Arik Gamble finished fourth.
