Swimming And Diving Sweeps Maconaquah

The Oak Hill boys’ and girls’ swimming and diving teams swept a dual meet from Maconaquah on Monday.

The boys improved to 2-0 with a 125-61 victory, while the girls moved to 4-1 with a 99-87 win.

Melissa Ford and Kendall Drook both won two events in the girls’ meet. Ford won the 100 freestyle in a time of 57.39 seconds and the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:11.09. Drook won the 50 freestyle in a time of 27.73 seconds and the butterfly in a time of 1:10.70.

Ford and Drook also teamed with Morgan Tinkel and Samantha Mauk to win the 400 freestyle relay in 3:58.32. Ford teamed with Hannah Brown, Emilie Austin and Allie Conway to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:52.27.

Mauk won the 200 IM in 2:28.27. Tinkel won the backstroke in 1:08.57.

Collin Brown and Kegan Anderson both won two individual events in the boys’ meet. Brown won the 200 freestyle in 1:56.25 and the 500 freestyle in 5:29.50. Anderson won the 200 IM in 2:20.46 and the butterfly in 59.44 seconds.

Jacoby Jones won diving with 228.40 points, Grant Brown won the backstroke in 1:02.60, while Drew Hobbs won the breaststroke in 1:08.08.

Grant Brown, Hobbs, Anderson and Said won the 200 medley relay in 1:48.62. Thomas Slaughter, Grant Brown, Kegan Anderson and Collin Brown won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:39.01.
