Westgate Leads Girls Basketball To Victory Over Panthers

Hot-shooting Oak Hill rode a dominating performance from 6-foot-1 center Taylor Westgate to a 61-25 Central Indiana Conference victory over visiting Elwood on Friday.
Westgate made 12-of-14 shots and both free throw attempts to finish with 26 points, and she also grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked four shots. As a team, the Eagles shot an even 50 percent from the field (26-of- 52) and a perfect 6-of-6 at the foul line.
Kaela Robey added 10 points for the top-ranked Eagles, who jumped in front 15-8 after one quarter and 30-16 at halftime. They led 47-23  after three quarters and limited Elwood (1- 9, 0-2 CIC) to three points over the final eight minutes.
Oak Hill (8-0, 2-0 CIC) hosts Maconaquah on Tuesday.
